Farms
All DAGU farms are located less than 25 km from the sorting centre in Cabanillas del Campo (Guadalajara, Spain). This ensures the eggs are kept very fresh and are packed and distributed within 24 hours of being laid.
DAGU is a forerunner in turning concern for animal welfare into more sustainable and safer farms.
We have an improvement plan geared to helping our farms obtain AENOR animal well-being and Welfare Quality certification, which most of them have already been awarded.
Our commitment to animal welfare leads us to opt for the most chicken-friendly farm designs.
Many of the ground facilities also feature innovative winter and summer gardens. These gardens are open-air spaces that allow ground-bred hens to go outdoors.
DAGU conducts its poultry business in compliance with the rural environment, minimising the company´s impact on the landscape and birdlife and helping to fight depopulation by creating jobs in the rural areas of Castilla-La Mancha.
